Position: Harvest Helper – Seasonal

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate person to join our urban farm to assist with main harvest season of the farm. As a helper you will be responsible for the weekly harvest and weeding of the farm. This is a seasonal position that end in October.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the farm, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest and
weed control, harvesting, washing and packing of organic produce. - Help ensure farm adheres to organic certifications standards and practices.
- Assist with water conservation practices.
- Help maintain accurate records of crops, crop yields, expenses and other relevant data.
- Must work well as a team member or alone, in all-weather conditions.
- Must have a smart phone for access to farm management apps.
- Some weekend/holiday work will be required.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions and situations.
- Possess organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for promoting sustainable agriculture and local food systems.
- Thorough working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, chain saws and small garden
equipment. - Must have a reliable form of transportation to work.
